16th U.S. President Speaks to the Madison Kiwanis Club
Dennis Boggs with Murphy Gill, President of the Madison Kiwanis Club

At this week's meeting of the Madison Kiwanis Club, members and guests were treated to a truly once in a lifetime event, as they had the pleasure of listening to one of the greatest men in American history, President Abraham Lincoln.  President Lincoln, or as he is known today, Dennis Boggs, gave what members said was, the most gripping historical account of and collection of speeches by the beloved President they had ever heard.  "When you first meet Mr. Boggs, whether he is in the traditional long black coat and top hat or in blue jeans, you immediately do a double take and say wow!  That guy looks like Abraham Lincoln.  But when he begins to speak you really say wow."  Mr. Boggs, dressed in the long coat black suit and top hat, gave a half hour soliloquy on the life story of Abraham Lincoln, in person of course.  The story included several gripping renditions of the most famous of President Lincoln's speeches.  Three of the most notable speeches were the pre-civil war farewell speech to his hometown, his famous Gettysburg Address and his second inaugural address.  In that 30 minute space, Mr. Boggs, or rather President Lincoln captivated the attention and the imagination of the members and guests of the Madison Kiwanis Club.  "It wasn't just a regular noon speaker.  It was history, alive before your very eyes.  This truly will be one of the most memorable meetings in the history of our club.  If you would like more information on Dennis Boggs as President Lincoln please see his website at www.MeetMrLincoln.com.
